When and where are your services?
Sunday mornings at 9 am and 11 am. Wednesday evening at 7 pm for Family Night-Bible studies for all ages including nursery. We meet at 2352 E Hwy 193 in Layton.
What are your Sunday services like?
The dress and atmosphere tends to be casual. You can wear jeans. You can wear a tie. It's your decision. The music is upbeat and full of energy. The messages makes sense for everyday life and are always centered on the Bible.
When should I arrive?
Plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the service. This is especially important if you have children. Checking-in children to their age-appropriate environments takes a couple of extra minutes.
What do you offer for children?
Each Sunday morning, we offer age-appropriate environments where kids can be kids. We offer infant and walker nurseries, classes for 2-3 year olds and 4 years old to kindergarten. Our high energy kid’s church is for 1st grade through 6th grade.
What do you offer for teenagers?
On Sunday mornings, teenagers attend our regular morning worship services. Our youth “Thrive” services are held on Sunday evening at 6 pm where they will find a worship gathering tailored just for them. Jr. High and High School classes are also held on Wednesdays at 7 pm.
Do you have Sunday School?
Sunday School for children is combined into our kid’s church time.
How do I get involved?
Everyone has gifts and talents. Those abilities have been given for the purpose of serving others. There are volunteer opportunities all over Christian Life Center. Joining a volunteer team is a great way to meet people and contribute to the mission of this church. If you would like to find a service opportunity that fits you, please contact the church office at 801-771-5433, ext. 510.
How do I become a member?
Church membership is not something the Bible commands. It is, though, a way for you to express your commitment to what God is doing at Christian Life Center. Approximately 4 times a year, we offer a new members class. At the end of this class, attendees are given the opportunity to fill out a membership application and become a member.
What do you believe about baptism and communion?
We encourage all followers of Jesus to be baptized. We baptize by immersion because that was Jesus' model of baptism. Baptism is not salvation. It is a symbol of the new life that Jesus brings about in the lives of His believers. We offer water baptism class approximately four times a year, and the baptism is held the following Sunday. We encourage all members of CLC to come out and support those being baptized. We then enjoy a time of celebration with refreshments.
We believe that communion is also a symbol. It symbolizes the body of Jesus that was sacrificed for us. We observe this ordinance the last Sunday of each month during the 9 and 11 am services.
How do people give financially to this church?
Each Sunday, during morning services, we receive the tithes and offering. These financial gifts enable the church to fulfill the mission and vision God has given it.
