 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Discipleship Classes: We encourage everyone to take the discipleship classes whether you are a new Christian or have been in the church for a long time and maybe didn’t get all the foundational teachings that you need for a consistent and powerful Christian life. We offer four classes, and they are connected to our mission statement.

1.      Purple Book -  The Purple Book is a 12-part Bible study keyed to The New International Version and designed to help new believers and longtime followers of Jesus stand firm and grow strong in the Christian life.
2.      Christianity 101 – Christianity is more than a system of beliefs or even an experience~it's a completely new life.  In this fresh new look at the essentials of the Christian walk, this study will provide you with the resources you need to nourish your soul and revitalize your spirit.  This study offers practical wisdom and penetrating insights into such foundational topics as: The Bible...why we need to read it and how to understand it; Prayer...how to have an authentic conversation with God; The Holy Spirit...how to experience God's power and presence every day.
3.      Relationships 101 – Love is one of God's most important gifts to anyone, yet there are many misunderstandings about how to make love work in our families, friendships, marriages and dating relationships.  This course shows you that love can actually be learned and gives you the steps and tools to become skilled in love.  This course will also dispel harmful misconceptions about love and reveals the truth about its various aspects~~receiving, healing, confronting, and more.  You will learn how to find authentic love, handle difficult issues and maintain lasting relationships.
4.      Equipping for Service - Studying the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts to the church will help in understanding ministry in the Body of Christ.  Equipping for Service will assist in finding your place of ministry and help equip you for that ministry.

  • New Members Class: this is a one-time class in which you will learn about the history of our church, what you can expect from the church, what the church expects from you and how we operate as a church as far as bylaws, etc. There is also a question and answer time. This is a great time to meet other newcomers in the church and make new friends.

  • Newcomers Fellowship: about every three months we have a get together for those who are new in the church. There you will meet the staff, other newcomers and learn about the church and all that goes on here. There is also a question and answer time.

  • Facebook: a great way to get to know people at Christian Life Center and hear about upcoming sermons and events. Just log in to your Facebook page and search for Christian Life Center in Layton, Utah.
